In early July, our team visited leading law firms in Barcelona to explore the expanding opportunities in collective litigation across international markets.
The increasing value of cases and the growing interest among citizens in participating in such legal disputes are the primary drivers for the expansion of this sector.
Looking ahead, the anticipated implementation of Directive (EU) 2020/1828 in Spain is expected to significantly reshape the legal landscape. Although the directive has not yet been adopted, its future implementation will enhance corporate accountability and provide Spanish citizens with stronger consumer protections.
Once the directive is in place, its impact will be seen through the improved position of citizens and the additional security it provides to consumers.
Lypta is prepared and eagerly anticipates revisiting interested firms as we continue to engage with this evolving legal framework.
